You apply for a Protection Order and the Court gives you a temporary one, good until your hearing in two weeks.

When Curtis gets the papers, he calls you and begs you to drop the order. “I’ll do whatever you want, baby. Please. You can’t do this to me. You’re ruining my career. It wouldn’t matter if this happened to a white partner in the firm. But for me… you know they’re just waiting for me to screw up.”

He calls you several times a day. He apologizes again and again. He tells you he can’t live without you.

You don’t attend your Protection Order hearing, so you don’t get the order.
