FRIENDS AND FAMILY – Card #2

You call Claire and see if you can go to her house, because you don’t want to go home yet. Claire is happy to see you and greets you with a hug when she opens the door.

It doesn’t take long for her to know something is wrong. You’re usually happy and bubbly, but today you are quiet, and she can see the bags under your eyes. You don’t want to tell her anything, but you know she probably won’t let it go.

You decide to tell her you made some bad decisions with a couple of guys. She doesn’t say anything at first but tells you she is sure whatever happened was not your fault. You tell her you don’t want to talk about it and change the subject. A while later when you are leaving, she gently grabs your hand and says, “I know you don’t want to talk about it, but I just want to say that you might want to get tested in the next few days. Let me know if you want me to go with you.”
